about

The Daydream Club, best known for their stripped back, acoustic folk sound are going on their summer holidays. “The Night Remix EP” sees the duo taking a break from their usual sound to explore their diverse musical tastes remixing a selection of exciting new & emerging artists from around the world.

The first remix sees The Daydream Club take on one of Steve Lamacq’s favourite new bands ‘Tigers That Talked’ and their latest single ‘Holy Saturday, Gloomy Sunday.’ Expect a frenzy of violins, dirty synths and jet propelled, jazz infused club beats. www.myspace.com/tigersthattalked

"What happens when you mix folk music and 170BPM breakbeats? This rather tasty little remix of Tigers That Talked by The Daydream Club, that's what." IDJ Magazine

For the second remix the duo have turned their attention to hotly tipped Australian four piece Blackchords after discovering them on new music station Amazing Radio. This second remix taken from “The Night | Remix EP” has The Daydream Club transform former Blackchords single ‘Pretty Little Thing’ into a sparkling, summer dance floor filler. www.facebook.com/blackchords

The penultimate remix taken from “The Night | Remix EP” has The Daydream Club turn up the pace of “Saviour” by rising Russian rock band: Coockoo. The remix is a four-to-the-floor, dirty-synth, summer-house number that will most definitely get you dancing. www.myspace.com/coockooband

For the final instalment of the EP. "The Daydream Club Presents…" is an intimate Podcast, which sees the duo returning to their roots, selecting their favourite new music, and playing exclusive, live versions of their own tracks to soothe your ears after a summer of big nights out, and music festival excess.
